This mic features a gain knob which will increase or decrease the sensitivity of the microphone. There is also a headphone jack with volume control so you can raise or lower the volume of your monitoring mix.

This is a condenser microphone which means when you talk the microphone does not have to be right in front of your mouth. The mic will pick up sounds in the room even if the mic is not right near the sound.
