Designed For Jeep®
No one understands the active lifestyle of the Jeep® driver quite like Alpine,
and the X409-WRA-JL is proof! Introducing a new direct-fit solution for the new
2018 – up Jeep® Wrangler and 2019 Jeep® Gladiator models.
The stunning, rugged dash bezel houses the large, 9-inch screen and takes direct style cues from the Jeep® that results in an OEM-quality fit and finish without custom installation.
Built For The Outdoors
The large, 9-inch screen has Capacitive Touch and a Swipe Graphical User
Interface is optimized for in-vehicle smartphone use. The next-generation design
makes the screen performance even faster.
The X409-WRA-JL has an IP53 rating against dust and water, for a weather-resistant dash system that's built to handle the toughest outdoor elements. The high-visibility screen has been engineered to adjust to low or high sunlight for maximum clarity when driving.
Apple Carplay™
The X409-WRA-JL “Works with Apple CarPlay™” and lets iPhone users make and
receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way
that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay™ is accessed through
the capacitive touch screen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control and
is compatible with iPhone 5 and later (iPhone must be connected via USB cable).
Android Auto™
The X409-WRA-JL includes Android Auto™ and works with the Google Assistant
(requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth® connection; requires an Android™ phone
running 5.0 [Lollipop] or higher and the Android Auto™ app). To access the
Google Assistant on Android Auto, say "OK Google" or select the mic button.
Google Assistant in Android Auto™ allows users to play their favorite music, get
driving directions to their destination, interact with smart home devices and
reply to text messages – hands-free.
Take The Road Less Traveled
We know Jeep® drivers don’t follow the status quo, so we’ve included Off-Road
Mode to deliver the information you need to go off the beaten path like vehicle
tilt, tire pressure, optimized camera view, and FunTreks tailhead POI database
displayed clearly on the large, 9-inch screen.
When the Off-Road Mode is activated, an off-road centric user interface takes over the navigation or camera screen so you can monitor pitch and roll when you’re climbing rocks or view the built-in clinometer to see your Jeep® vehicle’s front-to-back and side-to-side angles. Revisit your favorite trails through Off-Road Mode trip recording.
Reliable Navigation Anywhere
Use your smartphone for third-party navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze, or
in areas that don’t have strong cellphone service, activate the built-in iG0
Navigation to get you to your next adventure. Preloaded HERE® map data of the
United States (included Alaska and Hawaii), Canada, and Puerto Rico are
included.
The built-in navigation has Turn-by-Turn voice-guided driving directions, with Pinch-to-Zoom mapping for a detailed view of your map. The Latest Map Guarantee which ensures the latest map data on the system when registered on alpine.neviextras.com.
Retain Your Factory Controls
Now you don’t have to choose between retaining your original Jeep® controls and
upgrading to the latest in-vehicle technology. The X409-WRA-JL includes an
iDataLink Maestro® Module® to retain features like voice-activated media player,
Bluetooth® technology, steering wheel controls, and rear-view camera visual
parking assist.
Selectable vehicle information can be displayed on the large, 9-inch screen so drivers can monitor tire pressure, battery voltage, door status, engine codes, and user-customizable gauges.
Organize Your Accessories
For the Jeep® driver who loves customization, adding a winch, light bar, air
suspension and more can clutter your dash with switches and confuse your
controls.
The X409-WRA-JL can host up to eight accessories and monitor the accessories directly from the touchscreen by adding the optional KAC-001 External Accessory Controller (sold separately). Assign graphical icons to the accessories for quick identification and control them through a pulsed, latched, or momentary output.
Add Multiple Camera Systems
The X409-WRA-JL retains the factory backup camera, with rear guideline display
clearly projected on the large, 9-inch touchscreen. Three additional adapters
are included for additional camera inputs on the front, right, and left side of
the vehicle.
For easy access when you’re backing up, a dedicated rear camera button is located on the trim bezel. This is ideal for rock crawling or driving through narrow paths on trail rides.
Made for iPhone® / iPod®
It’s convenient to control your iPod or iPhone in the car – enjoy seamless
operation of your iPod in addition to full control of all your favorite media
sources. Control all search options of your iPod directly from the X409-WRA-JL
via Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, Podcast or Composer. The USB
connection allows for high-quality iPod / iPhone playback and delivers an even

Introducing the PSS-23WRA Powered System Upgrade, a premium sound upgrade for
the 2018-Up Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL. This 300 watt upgrade increases overall
dynamic range and adds much needed “top-off” sound performance to the
TAKE YOUR WRANGLER’S SOUND BEYOND FACTORY
Enjoy premium sound quality even with your JL’s top off! The PSS-23WRA is a 300
watt powered system upgrade featuring a powered subwoofer, amplifier, and
tweeters for the 2018-Up Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL without the factory
amplified system. The PSS-23WRA provides excellent sound performance whether the
JL’s top is on or off.
SOUND THAT WILL TURN HEADS WITH THE TOP ON OR OFF
The PWE-S8 subwoofer is engineered to load and disperse lower frequency sound
into the passenger’s foot well area to maximize bass extension throughout the
Jeep for great sound with the top on or off. Included with the subwoofer is a
remote bass knob so you can control the bass level from the convenience of your
dashboard. The Included 4-channel amplifier more than doubles the power over the
factory system allowing you to enjoy your tunes with the top off.
EASY BOLT-IN INSTALLATION
The PWE-S8 Powered Subwoofer and KTP-445U Power Pack Amplifier don’t take up
much since they mount under the passenger’s seat. The two products come
pre-connected for easy, bolt-in installation with simple wire routing. Mounting
brackets for the products are included as well.
SIMPLE TWEETER REPLACEMENT
The SPR-10TW Component Tweeters replace the factory tweeters on the top of the
dash. These high performance tweeters add much needed high frequency response
that is lacking in the factory Jeep JL systems. An EQ Ring improves the
tweeter’s dispersion characteristics and delivers a wide, flat frequency
response.
WORKS WITH ANY RADIO
The included T-harness gets the necessary audio signal connections from behind
the Wrangler’s radio, making installation a breeze. The PSS-23WRA is compatible
with Alpine universal head units, the factory Jeep base radio, or other
aftermarket radios.
