K240 MKII Semi-Open Studio Headphones

The AKG K240 MKII is a semi-open, over-ear headphone built for mixing, tracking and monitoring in professional studios. Its 30mm XXL transducers with Varimotion diaphragms produce a wide dynamic range and high sensitivity, and the semi-open cup design combines the open feel of an unsealed headphone with the low-end weight of a closed one. That combination lets engineers hear mix detail clearly without the boxed-in feel of fully closed cans.

Built for long sessions, the K240 MKII pairs a self-adjusting headband with over-ear cushions that fully surround the ear, so the fit holds up across hours at the console. A mini XLR connector lets you swap between the included 10' straight cable for desk-side mixing and the 16' coiled cable when you need more reach around a live room or vocal booth. Two sets of ear pads, velvet and leatherette, let you choose a cooler, breathable feel or a tighter acoustic seal depending on the room and the session.
