The American Audio APX12 GO BT is a 12-inch, 2-way powered loudspeaker that runs on its internal battery for up to 8 hours per charge, so you can set up sound where there is no outlet. A 12-inch woofer with a 1.5-inch voice coil works with a 1-inch high-frequency driver and Class D amplification rated at 65 W RMS and 200 W peak, covering 40Hz to 18KHz.

Playback options cover most situations. Load MP3 files onto a USB stick or SD card and control them from the LCD display, connect a phone or player through the 1/8-inch mini jack, or tune in an FM station. Bluetooth TWS links two APX12 GO BT units as a wireless stereo pair with no cable between them, useful when one speaker will not cover the space. XLR in and out ties the speaker into a traditional PA or DJ mixer, and the mic inputs accept XLR or 1/4-inch connections.

Rear controls include separate MP3, microphone, line level and overall volume, plus treble and bass. The included wireless remote handles play/pause, volume, EQ, mute, mode and track skip from across the room, and a UHF handheld microphone comes in the box for speeches, announcements, karaoke and live vocals.

Built-in wheels and a retractable handle move 35 lb of speaker without a second person, and the tripod socket on the bottom raises it to ear level for larger crowds. Battery status shows on the indicator, and a full recharge takes up to 4 hours from the switching AC supply.

It fits backyard parties, school and worship events, outdoor training sessions, mobile DJ gigs, rental fleets and any presentation where running power is not practical.
