The SIP1MPC100 gets power from a standard wall outlet to a fixture with a twist-lock input, across a run of 100 feet (30.48 m). One end is an IP65-rated twist-lock male connector, the other is a three-prong Edison plug, so it works as the first cable in a chain you then extend fixture to fixture with link cables.

One hundred feet solves the problem of the outlet being nowhere near the lighting position. Reaching the back of a parking lot, the far side of a lawn or field, across a large ballroom to the only free circuit, or up to a truss position over a stage all fall inside that distance with cable to spare.

The IP65 rating means the twist-lock end holds up to dust and water spray outdoors, so tented events, patios, and festival stages are fair game. The locking connector turns a quarter and stays put, which keeps the connection intact if a stand gets bumped or the cable is pulled taut during a set.

Before you load the run, check the current draw of everything you plan to chain against the rating of the circuit you are plugged into. Coil it in a figure eight and it drops into a cable bag without kinks.
