Product Description

The Accu-Cable SK-5012 carries amplifier output to a passive speaker over a 50-foot run on 12 AWG, two-conductor copper.

Gauge matters over distance. Thicker conductors hold resistance down, so more of the amplifier's power reaches the driver instead of turning into heat inside the cable. On a 50-foot run, 12 AWG is the difference between a speaker that hits its rated output and one that sounds soft at the same fader position.

Locking connectors with latches sit at both ends and twist into place, so the cable stays attached to the cabinet when a monitor gets nudged mid-set or a stagehand crosses the run. Fifty feet is the practical length for an amp rack at front of house feeding a stage-side main, a DJ booth reaching a satellite in the far corner, or a rack feeding a delay speaker at the back of a room.

A flexible rubber jacket coils without kinking and takes the scuffing that comes with floor runs and truck packs. The included tie wrap keeps the coil together between gigs, so the cable goes back in the case instead of tangling with everything else in it.
