The Vizi Beam RX2 is a compact moving head beam built around a 100W Osram Sirius HRI discharge lamp rated at 6,000 hours. Its 2 degree beam stays tight in the air, which is what makes aerial looks read in a small club or on a stage where a full size beam fixture will not fit. Three-phase pan and tilt motors move fast across 540 degrees of pan and 270 degrees of tilt, both with 16-bit fine control for repeatable positioning. The optical package covers a lot of ground for a fixture this size: a 14-color dichroic wheel plus white, including CTO at 3200K, CTB at 9000K, and UV filters, indexable for split colors; 15 static gobos plus open, three of which reduce beam size, with a gobo shake effect; two rotating prisms, one 16-facet circular and one 4-facet linear; a frost filter that converts the beam into a wash; and motorized focus with 16-bit fine adjustment. Wireless DMX is built in alongside 5-pin DMX in and out, and firmware updates arrive over the air. Outdoor rated locking power in and out daisy chains fixtures, a color LCD with four-button menu handles setup, and pan and tilt locks hold the head still for transport and rigging. It draws 168W at 120V and weighs 16.5 lb.
