Product Description
IP rated fixtures use sealed connectors to keep water out. Standard DMX runs use XLR. Without an adapter cable, an outdoor fixture becomes an island: the data cannot continue to the rest of the rig without cutting into the chain. This cable bridges the two connector standards directly, so an IP fixture drops into a run that continues on regular XLR cable.
That makes it a working part for outdoor architectural installs, festival stages under open sky, patio and pool deck lighting, parade floats, and any temporary rig where some fixtures are sealed and others are not. Keeping a few in the road box means an unexpected mixed rig does not stop the load-in.
This is a straightforward accessory that solves a specific problem cleanly. Add it to the case alongside your IP fixtures so the data path is sorted before you are standing in the rain looking for an adapter.
Features
-
Bridges Two Standards
An IP rated male end and an XLR female end let DMX data pass from a sealed fixture into standard XLR cable without splicing or workarounds.
-
Built For Outdoor Rigs
Weather-sealed fixtures stay in the chain, which keeps outdoor architectural, festival, and patio installs on a single continuous data run.
-
Keeps Mixed Rigs Working
When some fixtures are IP rated and others are not, this cable is the piece that lets both live on the same DMX universe.
-
Simple Field Fix
Keeping a few in the road box means an unexpected connector mismatch does not hold up a load-in or force a hardware run.
-
Correct Gender Out
The male IP to female XLR configuration matches DMX out from the fixture, so the cable drops straight into a downstream run.
