Product Description

AudioFuse X8 IN adds eight line-level analog inputs to any ADAT-compatible audio interface over a single optical cable. If your interface has run out of channels, this is the shortest path to eight more without replacing the centerpiece of your studio.

Eight 1/4 in TRS inputs feed the latest-generation AD converters at up to 96 kHz, with 119 dB of dynamic range and harmonic distortion at -112 dB. Synth players can leave a rack of keyboards, drum machines, and grooveboxes permanently connected, each on its own channel, and record any of them the moment an idea arrives. Engineers can connect additional microphone preamps for tracking drums, choirs, or full ensembles with a dedicated channel per source.

It also handles hybrid mixing. Send audio from your DAW out to outboard compressors, equalizers, and effects units, then bring the processed signal back through the X8 IN to print it. A front-panel VU meter shows levels in real time, and a BNC word clock input keeps the unit locked to the rest of your digital gear.

The half 1U aluminum chassis sits on a desk or racks up, with a removable rack ear included and an assembly kit for mounting two AudioFuse X8 units side by side in a single rack space. Weight is 3.11 lb. The AudioFuse Creative Suite is included.
