Arturia Minibrute 2 NOIR USB MIDI Analog Synthesizer Monosynth Mini Brute Two

MiniBrute 2 Noir is a semi-modular analog synthesizer with a 48-point CV and Gate patchbay. It is fully playable with nothing patched, since every section is already routed internally, and the patchbay is there when you want to rewire the signal path yourself.

Two analog VCOs supply the core tone. VCO1 mixes saw plus UltraSaw, square plus pulse width, and triangle plus Metalizer at the same time, while VCO2 offers sine, saw, and square across three tuning ranges. Hard sync from VCO2 to VCO1, plus linear and exponential FM on VCO1, add harmonic complexity, and a white noise generator and external audio input widen the source material further.

The Steiner-Parker filter runs at 12 dB per octave with low pass, high pass, band pass, and notch modes, and the Brute Factor knob pushes the signal into feedback territory. Modulation comes from two synced LFOs with six waveshapes each, an ADSR envelope, and a loopable AD envelope with trig and gate modes and CV-controllable attack and decay times.

Performance sits on a 25-key velocity and pressure sensitive keyboard, an arpeggiator with eight modes, and a sequencer holding eight patterns of up to 64 steps with Rest, Tie, and Legato entry. MIDI and USB I/O connect it to a DAW or hardware rig.

The box includes eight patch cables and a Cook Book of patch recipes, so experimenting with the patchbay starts on day one. The unit measures 19 x 13.2 x 2.3 in and weighs 10.6 lb.
