MiniBrute 2S Noir takes the MiniBrute 2 analog voice and replaces the keyboard with a 16-pad, 16-encoder sequencing surface. If you build parts by programming rather than playing, this is the version that fits how you work.

The synth engine is the same: two analog VCOs, with VCO1 mixing saw plus UltraSaw, square plus pulse width, and triangle plus Metalizer, and VCO2 covering sine, saw, and square across three tuning ranges. Hard sync and linear and exponential FM push the harmonics further, and a white noise generator and external audio input widen the palette. The Steiner-Parker filter runs 12 dB per octave with low pass, high pass, band pass, and notch modes. Two synced LFOs, an ADSR envelope, and a loopable AD envelope with CV-controllable attack and decay handle modulation.

The sequencer holds 64 sequence memories with up to 64 steps each, capturing pitch, gate, velocity, and pressure per step, or sequencing modulation such as gates, LFOs, and AD envelopes instead. Real-time and step recording are both supported, patterns save and recall on the fly and chain into full tracks, and an arpeggiator and looper cover live variation. The 16 velocity and pressure sensitive pads and 16 encoders keep editing physical.

A 48-point CV and Gate patchbay with inverter, attenuators, and VCA connects to Eurorack systems, and MIDI and USB I/O cover DAW work. Eight patch cables and a Cook Book of patch recipes ship in the box. The unit measures 19 x 11 x 2.2 in and weighs 7.7 lb.
