Product Description

The AT829cH is a cardioid condenser lavalier microphone for Audio-Technica body-pack wireless transmitters using the 4-pin cH-style connector, found on 3000 and 5000 Series systems. It clips to clothing and stays out of the frame while picking up the wearer's voice clearly.

Presenters, lecturers, and theater performers need to move without dragging a mic stand along. A lavalier solves that, and the cardioid pattern with its 120-degree angle of acceptance keeps the focus on the person wearing it rather than the room. That directionality gives better gain before feedback in a space with front-fill speakers or stage monitors nearby, and it suppresses background sound from an audience.

Wide-range capability keeps speech accurate and intelligible, so consonants stay clean through a house PA rather than turning to mush at the back of the room.

The 1.4 m (55 in.) miniature cable is permanently attached to the element and terminates in a rugged 4-pin cH-style screw-down connector, which locks to the transmitter so a performer's movement does not pull the connection loose. At 2.4 g, the capsule is light enough that a lapel or tie holds it without sagging.

A clothing clip and foam windscreen come with the microphone, covering mounting and breath noise from the start.

Features

    • Hands Free on Stage

A clip-on capsule keeps a presenter or performer free to move across a stage while voice pickup stays consistent, with no stand to work around.

    • Focused on the Speaker

The cardioid pattern narrows pickup to a 120-degree angle of acceptance, improving gain before feedback when monitors or front-fill speakers sit close by.

    • A Connection That Stays Put

A rugged 4-pin cH-style screw-down connector locks to Audio-Technica body-pack transmitters so movement during a performance cannot pull the cable loose.

    • Clear Speech Through the PA

Wide-range response keeps consonants intelligible through a house system, which matters for lectures and presentations heard from the back row.

    • Ready to Wear

A foam windscreen and clothing clip come in the box, covering breath noise and mounting so the mic is ready before the first rehearsal.
