Audio Technica AT8455 Shockmount For AT2020USB-X

The AT8455 is a shock mount designed for the AT2020USB-X microphone. It suspends the mic so vibration traveling through a stand, boom arm, or desk never reaches the capsule.

Desk-mounted microphones pick up more than your voice. Typing, a knee against the desk leg, footsteps on a wood floor, and the arm itself flexing all transmit low-frequency thumps into the recording, and those show up as unexplained rumble under a take. A shock mount interrupts that path mechanically, which is the only reliable fix.

The mount is open at the front, so the controls and LED indicators on the AT2020USB-X stay visible and reachable while the mic is suspended. You can hit the mute button and read the ring color without pulling the mic out of the cradle.

It threads onto both 3/8 in.-16 and 5/8 in.-27 stands, covering standard desk stands, tripod stands, and broadcast boom arms without a separate adapter.

Use it for streaming setups on a shared desk, podcast rigs on a boom arm, or any room where the floor carries noise.
