The ATV-SG1 is a mono on-camera shotgun microphone for DSLR, mirrorless, and other camera bodies. A 100 mm acoustic tube keeps pickup tight on whoever is talking while rejecting the room behind them, and a newly designed 14 mm large-diameter diaphragm delivers high sensitivity and low noise for detailed voice reproduction.

Field shoots punish audio, and the SG1 answers each way. An integrated shock mount absorbs handling noise from camera movement and vibration. A low-cut filter switch attenuates wind, traffic, and HVAC rumble. Patented noise-immunity technology blocks hum from nearby phones and other electronics. A rear gain knob makes stepless adjustments mid-shoot without diving into menus.

The safety track feature records your set level to the left channel and a backup at -6 dB to the right, so an unexpected volume spike does not cost you the take. A headphone jack with volume control lets you monitor in real time, and an external input jack with accessory shoe accepts a wireless lavalier receiver or plug-in-powered lav for recording shotgun and lav together.

The built-in USB-rechargeable battery runs about 24 hours, and the mic powers on and off with the camera. A 12-sided shoe plate rotates in 30-degree steps for off-center sources, and the slide rail moves the mic forward or back to stay out of frame. Designed and manufactured in Japan.
