Audio Technica ATW-1421/L Digital Dual Lavalier Microphone System with Receiver

The ATW-1421/L is a two-person lavalier system on a receiver that has room to double. It ships with the ATW-R1440 four-channel receiver, two ATW-T1401 body-pack transmitters, and two MT830cW lavalier microphones, leaving two receiver channels open for handheld or boundary transmitters added later.

Operation is plug-and-play in the 2.4 GHz range at 24-bit/48 kHz. Standard mode runs 10 channels with 2.8 ms latency; HD mode doubles capacity to 20 channels at 6.7 ms. You pick latency or channel count based on the room.

The half-rack chassis ships with a short and a long rack ear, and two long ears combine as a joining plate to secure two chassis in a single rack space. Receiver units also mount remotely up to 328 feet away over Ethernet. Up to five chassis link together.

Each body-pack uses a water- and sweat-resistant cW-style connector, runs about 15 hours on AA alkalines or 29 hours on lithium, and carries charging terminals that work with ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CHG3N docks. OLED screens on transmitters and receivers show settings and alerts, an auto-lock function blocks accidental changes mid-event, and AES128 encryption protects the audio. Wireless Manager software handles centralized configuration and monitoring.
