The K5 Series W15K5S4 is a 15" car audio subwoofer built for low-end output in a system you use every day. It handles 500W RMS on a CEA rating, 1000W program, and 2000W peak, with a single 4-ohm voice coil that wires easily to most mono amplifiers. A 2.5" four-layer black aluminum voice coil wound with OFC copper wire imported from Japan sits in a high BL magnetic motor gap, and high-temperature black glue holds the assembly together through long, loud sessions.

The fiber-reinforced non-pressed paper cone is stiff and efficient at 90.1 dB sensitivity, so it plays loud even when the amplifier behind it is modest. A thick foam surround keeps distortion low through long excursion, and blue stitching reinforces the cone joint for a long service life. The 60 oz magnet and cast iron basket with a black sanded finish give the motor a stable platform, while a vented hole in the T-yoke pulls heat away from the coil. Chrome-plated binding post terminals accept any wire gauge, and a rubber boot covers and protects the magnet.

Frequency response runs 28.6 Hz to 1 kHz, which covers deep bass for rap, EDM, and rock without giving up midbass punch. A sealed box of 1.5 to 2.5 cubic feet gives you tight, controlled bass in a trunk or a single-cab truck, and a ported box of 2.0 to 3.5 cubic feet trades some of that tightness for more output in a larger cargo area. Cutout diameter is 13.85 inches and mounting depth is 5.98 inches, so measure your enclosure before ordering. The branded mounting gasket makes an air-tight mount simple to get right.
