201R Mini Boundary Condenser Microphone

The CAD Audio 201R is a miniature button-style boundary microphone built for permanent installation in conference rooms, lecture halls, courtrooms and houses of worship. It mounts flush to a table, lectern or ceiling tile with the supplied metal nut and washer hardware, so it sits close to the talker while staying out of sight lines. The cardioid pickup pattern concentrates on the person in front of the capsule and rejects sound arriving from behind, which keeps teleconferencing and voice lift audio intelligible in rooms with HVAC noise or hard reflective surfaces. Improved RF immunity reduces the buzzing and clicking that cell phones, tablets and two-way radios induce in nearby audio lines, a common problem in rooms full of active devices. The permanently-biased condenser element covers 90Hz to 17kHz, a range shaped around the human voice rather than music, and handles up to 129dB SPL without breaking up when a presenter leans in. With 150 ohm output impedance and -32dBV sensitivity, it feeds long cable runs into standard mixers and installed DSP systems, and it runs on P12, P24 or P48 phantom power at 2.4mA, so it drops into nearly any existing rack. Beyond conferencing, the low profile suits surveillance, ambient room recording and audio observation where a visible microphone would draw attention. Finished in black.
