Product Description

The CAD Audio 915B is a 15” gooseneck condenser microphone for speech and vocal pickup in installed sound systems. Two flex points let you shape the neck twice, once near the base and once near the capsule, so you can bring the microphone in front of a speaker at a lectern without the neck arcing across their face or the screen behind them. The quick-mount base makes swapping or servicing units a short job rather than a rewiring project, which matters in courtrooms and council chambers where downtime is visible. A cardioid pattern keeps the focus on the person talking and pulls down room reverberation and audience noise from the sides and rear, so gain before feedback stays workable even with loudspeakers in the same room. The permanently-biased condenser element covers 150Hz to 20kHz, rolling off low-frequency rumble from footsteps and building noise while keeping consonants crisp. Sensitivity is -32dBV at 1 Pa into 440 ohms, with 132dB max SPL for loud or close talkers and 26dBA self noise for quiet passages. Power comes from P12, P24 or P48 phantom at 5mA, so it works with standard mixers and installed DSP. Typical placements include lecterns, conference tables, courtrooms, council chambers, classrooms and houses of worship. A 20” version, the 920B, is available when you need more reach.

Features

    • Position It and Forget It

Two flex points let you bend the 15” neck near the base and near the capsule, placing the microphone in front of a talker without blocking their face or a screen.

    • Voices Over Room Noise

The cardioid pattern concentrates on the person speaking and rejects audience noise and reverberation from the sides and rear, holding usable gain before feedback.

    • Fast to Install and Service

A quick-mount base lets you drop units into lecterns and conference tables, then pull and swap them later without turning maintenance into a rewiring job.

    • Speech-Tuned Response

A 150Hz to 20kHz range rolls off footstep and building rumble while keeping consonants clear, so remote listeners follow every word.

    • Handles Loud Talkers

132dB max SPL and 26dBA self noise cover the full range, from a presenter leaning into the capsule to a quiet witness several inches away.
