The Celestion CDX1-1747 is a 1-inch exit compression driver built for higher-output pro audio PA tops. It takes 120W continuous power and returns 110dB sensitivity, a combination that keeps vocals present over a full band or a busy dance floor without pushing the amplifier into clipping. The frequency range runs from 1,000Hz to 20,000Hz with a recommended minimum crossover of 1,600Hz at 12dB per octave, so it can take on more of the vocal band than smaller drivers and hand the woofer an easier job. A single-piece polyimide diaphragm and surround handles heat and repeated high excursion, while the Sound Castle soft clamping assembly holds the diaphragm in place under hard use and keeps replacement straightforward with the T5572 repair kit.
