Control 424C/T

The Control 424C/T is a 4" two-way coaxial ceiling speaker from the Control 400 Series, built for background music and paging in offices, retail stores, restaurants, hotel corridors, and classrooms. A 4" treated paper cone woofer and a coaxially mounted 0.75" textile soft-dome tweeter cover 75 Hz to 18 kHz, and CRBI technology spreads that sound across a 130° conical pattern. That wide, even coverage cuts down on loud spots directly under each speaker and quiet gaps between them, so a room often needs fewer speakers and fewer amplifier channels to sound consistent from one end to the other. Rated for 60W continuous (240W peak) with a 103 dB maximum SPL, it has plenty of output for drop ceilings in typical commercial spaces.

It also fits the system you already run. The built-in multi-tap transformer connects to 70V lines at 30W, 15W, 7.5W, or 3.7W and 100V lines at 30W, 15W, or 7.5W, while the 16 ohm direct input works with low-impedance amplifiers for smaller zones. The integrated back can is suitable for plenum air handling spaces per UL 2043 and carries an IP33 rating. Installers get a terminal cover with top and side cable entry that secures with captive hand screws, no tools needed, plus captive dogears that grip a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille ships in white, takes paint to match the ceiling, and attaches with a safety tether that mounts into the baffle.
