Control 426C/T

The Control 426C/T is a 6.5" two-way coaxial ceiling speaker from the Control 400 Series, sized for larger rooms and higher ceilings where background music and paging need more output and deeper bass, like open offices, retail floors, restaurants, hotel lobbies, gyms, and conference spaces. A 6.5" treated paper cone woofer and a coaxially mounted 1" textile soft-dome tweeter cover 72 Hz to 19 kHz, and CRBI technology spreads that sound across a 110° conical pattern. That even coverage cuts down on loud spots directly under each speaker and quiet gaps between them, so a room often needs fewer speakers and fewer amplifier channels to sound consistent from one end to the other. Rated for 110W continuous (440W peak) with 89 dB sensitivity and a 109 dB maximum SPL, it has the headroom to fill a busy space without straining.

It also fits the system you already run. The built-in multi-tap transformer connects to 70V lines at 60W, 30W, 15W, or 7.5W and 100V lines at 60W, 30W, or 15W, while the 12 ohm direct input works with low-impedance amplifiers for smaller zones. The integrated back can is suitable for plenum air handling spaces per UL 2043 and carries an IP33 rating. Installers get a terminal cover with top and side cable entry that secures with captive hand screws, no tools needed, plus captive dogears that grip a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille ships in white, takes paint to match the ceiling, and attaches with a safety tether that mounts into the baffle.
