CS65CXS

The Crunch CS65CXS is a pair of 6.5-inch two-way speakers built at a 1.65-inch mounting depth. That number is the whole point: trucks, compact cars, and modern doors packed with window regulators, wiring, and side airbag hardware often cannot take a standard speaker without spacers or trimming. These fit where a full-depth 6.5 will not.

Shallow does not mean weak here. Power handling is 150W RMS and 300W peak, matching the full-depth CS653, with response from 60Hz to 20kHz at 88dB sensitivity. A silver alpha-cellulose poly cone produces midrange and midbass at low moving mass, and a 1-inch Neo-Mylar soft dome tweeter covers the highs through a passive Butterworth crossover with a 6dB internal slope at 4kHz.

Construction follows the rest of the CS line. The UV-resistant rubber surround handles sun and moisture, high-temperature adhesive keeps the cone and surround bonded under sustained power, and the anti-resonant stamped steel basket keeps frame ringing out of the sound. A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former with over-coil cooling moves heat away during long playback.

Grilles are included for exposed locations like rear seat panels, boat and side-by-side builds, or custom enclosures, and can be left off when mounting behind factory trim. Cut-out diameter is 5.59 in with a 7.01 in outside diameter, matching standard 6.5-inch patterns, so the only thing that changes versus a normal install is the clearance you need behind the panel.
