CSMA280 + (18) CSS8008 Ceiling Speaker System

This bundle gives a restaurant, bar, cafe, or retail floor a complete overhead sound system in one order: a CSMA280 two-channel mixer amplifier and eighteen CSS8008 8" ceiling speakers built for background music and paging. The CSMA280 puts out 2 x 80W and runs 70V or 100V speaker lines directly through its built-in output transformer, so long cable runs across a dining room or sales floor need no extra transformer hardware. Eight inputs accept mics, line sources, and RCA players, with 27V phantom power for condenser mics and independent bass and treble on each output. That two-channel layout lets you split the space into two zones, such as a dining room and a patio, each with its own volume.

Each CSS8008 uses an 8" dual-cone driver with 96 dB sensitivity and 120 degree coverage, so sound spreads evenly across the room even at low tap settings. Selectable 5W, 2.5W, 1.3W, and 0.7W taps let you set each speaker's level to suit the spot it covers. Run nine speakers per channel at the full 5W tap and you stay comfortably within the amplifier's power. Voice-activated ducking on channels 1 and 5 lowers the music automatically for announcements, priority muting puts paging first, and sleep mode powers the amp down after about 30 minutes without signal. Add an optional CSR-V wall controller through the RJ45 ports when staff need volume control away from the rack.
