CSMA280 + (8) WET-5W White Wall Speaker System

Putting background music and paging into a restaurant patio, hotel pool deck, or retail floor means matching an amplifier to a 70V speaker line and picking speakers that can live outdoors. This package covers the whole system: one JBL CSMA280 mixer amplifier and eight Rockville WET-5W 5.25" indoor/outdoor wall speakers in a white finish that blends into light walls, stucco, and painted soffits.

The CSMA280 puts out 2 x 80W and runs 70V or 100V lines directly through its built-in Hi-Z transformer, so long speaker runs wire straight to the amp with no extra hardware. Put four speakers on each output to create two zones, such as a dining room and a patio, each with its own volume, bass, and treble. Eight inputs handle daily use: mic/line euroblock inputs with 27V phantom power for paging mics and RCA inputs for a music source. Voice-activated ducking on channels 1 and 5 lowers the music when someone speaks, and priority muting clears the other inputs for announcements. Two RJ45 ports accept JBL CSR-V wall volume controls (sold separately).

Each WET-5W uses a vented ABS cabinet with a waterproof cloth over the vent, so sound gets out and water stays out, giving these IPX55-rated speakers fuller bass than a typical sealed outdoor cabinet. The aluminum grille, stainless steel bracket, and waterproof terminals resist rust. Slide each speaker onto its swivel bracket, tighten the knobs, and aim it at the seating area. Tap selectors at 2.5W, 5W, 10W, and 20W let you run the patio louder and the entry quieter; keep each channel at 64W or less, for example two speakers at 20W and two at 10W per side.
