CSS8018

The CSS8018 is an 8" ceiling speaker built for the two jobs most commercial spaces ask of their sound system: clear paging and steady background music. Its 200 mm (8") dual cone driver covers 50 Hz to 17 kHz with a wide 110° dispersion pattern, so each speaker reaches more of a dining room, sales floor, or office corridor. High 97 dB sensitivity gets plenty of level out of low tap settings, which lets you run more speakers on the same amplifier.

The built-in transformer works on 70V, 100V, and 25V distributed systems. Choose 10W, 5W, 2.5W, or 1.3W taps on 70V and 25V lines, or 10W, 5W, and 2.5W on 100V, then set each zone to suit the room. Insertion loss is rated at 1.5 dB maximum, and bare wire connections keep terminations quick when you're working through a ceiling full of runs.

Mounting is simple. The speaker needs a 216 mm (8.5") cutout for open-back installs, or a 295 mm (11.7") cutout when paired with the matching CSS-BB8 backcan, which attaches at 4 points on an 11.25" bolt circle. With just 73 mm (2.9") of depth behind the 327 mm (12.9") grille and a weight of 3.5 lb, it fits shallow ceiling cavities in restaurants, retail stores, gyms, waiting rooms, and houses of worship.
