XGA-5000

The XGA-5000 is a two-channel power amplifier built for live sound reinforcement, from mobile DJ rigs to permanent venue installs. It produces 5000W of instant peak power, with continuous output rated at 2 x 550W RMS at 4 ohms stereo, 2 x 400W RMS at 8 ohms stereo, and 1100W RMS at 8 ohms bridged. Frequency response spans 10 Hz to 50 kHz at 1.5 dB, total harmonic distortion stays under 0.1%, and signal-to-noise measures greater than 100 dB, so what reaches the speakers is what left the mixer. Cooling uses front-to-rear airflow with a variable speed thermal fan, which holds the amplifier stable through back-to-back nights and stays quiet when the room is. Inputs cover balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch, and unbalanced RCA, with input sensitivity of 0.77V and a ground lift switch for clearing hum from mismatched grounds. Outputs include three Speakon connectors for channel A, channel B, and bridge, along with 5-way binding posts that accept banana plugs or bare wire. A bridge mode switch flips the amplifier to mono for a subwoofer or a long throw, and a limiter circuit switch caps output when the mix gets pushed hard. Front panel volume controls for both channels sit beside signal, clip, protect, and bridge indicators that show the amplifier state at a glance. DC output and short circuit protection circuits look after the amplifier and the loudspeakers connected to it. The all-metal chassis takes 2U of rack space and weighs 24.25 lb, light enough to carry in a loaded rack case.
