The Hifonics A1200.1D is a single-channel Super D-Class® amplifier built to run subwoofers in everyday vehicles, work trucks, and dedicated show builds. It puts out 1200W max power: 1 x 1200W at 1 ohm, 1 x 600W at 2 ohms, and 1 x 325W at 4 ohms, so it pairs with a wide range of subwoofer impedances and wiring configurations. Ultra-Fi™ MOSFET output devices and 300kHz high-speed switching hold total harmonic distortion under 1% while producing less heat than conventional designs, and a heavy-duty aluminum alloy heat sink pulls that heat away from the output stage during long listening sessions.

Tuning happens on the amplifier itself. The variable low-pass crossover sweeps 30Hz to 250Hz, the subsonic filter covers 10Hz to 50Hz to protect ported enclosures from over-excursion, and bass boost adds 0 to 12dB at 45Hz. Variable phase from 0 to 180 degrees lines the subwoofer up with your midbass speakers so kick drums land tight instead of muddy. Input sensitivity adjusts from 0.2V to 6V, and speaker-level inputs with auto turn-on let the amplifier work with factory head units that have no remote turn-on wire.

The included HFR-31 wired bass remote mounts within arm's reach of the front seat, so subwoofer level moves with the music instead of staying fixed. Angled, nickel-plated hex screw terminals accept 4 AWG power and ground and 14 AWG speaker wire, and their angle keeps connections accessible in tight mounting spots. LED diagnostics on the end panel flag overload and speaker short conditions at a glance.
