Hifonics A1200.4D 1200 Watt 4-Channel Amplifier Class D Car Stereo Amp

The Hifonics A1200.4D is a four-channel ALPHA series car amplifier built around Super D-Class circuitry and Ultra-Fi MOSFET output devices. It is rated at 1200W max power, delivering 4 x 150W at 4 ohms, 4 x 300W at 2 ohms, or 2 x 600W bridged into 4 ohms, so one chassis can run a full set of door speakers or a bridged pair feeding subwoofers.

Accu-Cross electronic crossovers give each pair of channels its own filtering: a variable high-pass from 20Hz to 4kHz, a DUPE mode low-pass from 50Hz to 4kHz, and bass boost adjustable from 0 to 12dB at 45Hz. Input sensitivity spans 0.2V to 10V, and speaker-level inputs accept a factory radio signal directly. Auto turn-on reads a 6-volt DC offset on the high-level inputs, which takes the remote turn-on wire out of most installs.

Rated performance is better than 85dB signal-to-noise with under 0.05% THD across a 10Hz to 45kHz response. A heavy aluminum alloy heat sink measuring 9.25in x 9.25in x 2.37in pulls heat off the MOSFETs, and surface-mount construction holds up to road vibration. Nickel-plated hex screw terminals take 4 AWG power and ground and 18 AWG speaker wire, angled for access after the amplifier is mounted. LED indicators on the end panel report overload and speaker short conditions at a glance.
