Hifonics A1500.1D 1500 Watt Mono Amplifier Class D 1-ohm Car Stereo Amp

The Hifonics A1500.1D is a mono ALPHA series subwoofer amplifier rated at 1500W max power and stable down to 1 ohm. It delivers 1 x 1500W at 1 ohm, 1 x 750W at 2 ohms, and 1 x 400W at 4 ohms, so it can run a single high-power subwoofer or a pair wired to a low impedance.

Super D-Class circuitry with Ultra-Fi MOSFET output devices produces that power with less heat than conventional designs, and a heavy aluminum alloy heat sink measuring 12in x 5.75in x 2.37in handles what remains. Bass tuning lives on the end panel: a variable low-pass from 30Hz to 250Hz, a subsonic filter from 10Hz to 50Hz, 0 to 12dB of bass boost at 45Hz, and variable 0 to 180 degree phase so subwoofer output arrives in time with the midbass speakers.

The included HFR-31 wired bass remote mounts anywhere in the cabin and puts subwoofer level within reach from the seat. Speaker-level inputs and auto turn-on let the amplifier work behind a factory head unit with no RCA output and no remote turn-on wire. Rated signal-to-noise is above 90dB with 10Hz to 250Hz response.

Nickel-plated hex screw terminals take 4 AWG power and ground and 14 AWG speaker wire, and LED diagnostics on the end panel flag overload and speaker shorts. At 12in long and 5.75in deep, the narrow chassis fits trunk racks, behind-seat mounts, and enclosure-mounted installs in cars, trucks, and SUVs.
