The Hifonics HAC-1500.1D is a COLOSSUS PRO mono block amplifier rated at 1500W, built on a half-bridge design that uses fewer components to produce more output. It runs 1 x 1500W at 1 ohm, 1 x 750W at 2 ohms, and 1 x 375W at 4 ohms, covering anything from a single 12in subwoofer to a pair wired to a low impedance.

Cooling comes from a variable-speed fan working with a mass-loaded extruded aluminum heat sink, so output holds up through long sessions instead of backing off as temperatures climb. An iron core transformer keeps electromagnetic interference low, which matters in newer vehicles full of sensitive electronics.

Tuning uses a variable high-pass from 15Hz to 1kHz and a variable low-pass from 50Hz to 10kHz, both at 12dB per octave, plus built-in bass control with 0 to 12dB of boost. Input sensitivity runs 0.2V to 8V. Signal-to-noise is rated at 88dB with under 0.1% THD. The included bass remote adjusts subwoofer level from the seat, and its LED shows green when the amplifier is powered and red if it enters protect.

Over/under voltage, short circuit, and thermal protection circuits cover the amplifier and the speakers connected to it, while delayed turn-on keeps hisses and pops out of the system.
