The Hifonics HCC65C is a 6.5-inch two-way component system from the COLOSSUS Classic line, built for people who want the tweeter mounted separately from the woofer so the front stage sits up at ear level instead of down in the door. Each channel handles 75W RMS and 150W peak with 88dB sensitivity.

Separate 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters carry the top end with output that stays natural at volume, and in-line external crossovers using 12dB premium capacitors set the split at 6kHz so the woofer and tweeter blend rather than overlap. The lightweight blue woven fiber woofer cone reacts quickly through the midrange, and a butyl rubber surround adds mid-bass weight while resisting heat and time.

A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former sheds heat, an epoxy-infused natural fiber spider keeps the cone centered under power, and over-coil cooling exchanges air across the coil through the spider. A ferrite magnet supplies motor force in a package that still fits factory pockets, and an anti-resonant stamped steel basket keeps flex and ringing out of the assembly. Grilles are included to protect the woofers when they are not mounted behind a panel.
