ZD-1350.1D

The Hifonics ZD-1350.1D is a ZEUS DELTA mono block amplifier built for subwoofer duty. It delivers 1350W max power, rated at 1 x 1350W into 1 ohm, 1 x 675W into 2 ohms, and 1 x 350W into 4 ohms, so it stays stable across common wiring setups, from one dual 2-ohm sub wired down to 1 ohm to a pair of 4-ohm woofers.

A PWM MOSFET power supply with the dual coil Simpatico design holds voltage constant through the output stage, so output stays consistent during long bass passages instead of sagging. Class-D topology and an aluminum heat sink keep the chassis compact at 9.68 x 5.75 x 2.16 in, small enough to mount behind a seat or on the back of the sub box.

Tuning happens on the amplifier. A variable low-pass crossover sweeps 50Hz to 250Hz at 12dB per octave, a 15Hz to 40Hz subsonic filter keeps the sub from wasting excursion on frequencies it cannot reproduce, and bass boost adds 0 to 12dB. Input sensitivity adjusts from 0.2V to 6V, and speaker-level inputs allow a tie-in to a factory head unit. THD stays under 0.1%.

The included wired bass remote puts level control at the dash. DC Signal Sense starts the amplifier when it detects signal on the RCA inputs, so a remote turn-on wire is optional. Nickel-plated RCA jacks resist corrosion, angled molded terminals accept 4 AWG power and 12 AWG speaker wire, and end-panel LEDs flag overload and speaker shorts. External 80A fusing required.
