ZD-1950.1D

The Hifonics ZD-1950.1D is a ZEUS DELTA mono block amplifier rated at 1950W max power. It makes 1 x 1950W into 1 ohm, 1 x 975W into 2 ohms, and 1 x 450W into 4 ohms, which covers a single dual 1-ohm sub wired to 1 ohm, a pair of dual 4-ohm woofers, or a sealed daily setup that only needs half the amplifier.

A PWM MOSFET power supply with the dual coil Simpatico design keeps voltage constant through the output stage, so the amp holds output during sustained low frequency content. Class-D topology and an aluminum heat sink hold the chassis to 12.44 x 5.75 x 2.16 in at 5.38 lb, which still fits behind a rear seat or alongside a sub enclosure.

Tuning is onboard: a variable low-pass crossover from 50Hz to 250Hz at 12dB per octave, a 15Hz to 40Hz subsonic filter, and 0 to 12dB bass boost. Input sensitivity adjusts from 0.2V to 6V, speaker-level inputs allow a factory head unit tie-in, and THD stays under 0.1%.

The included wired bass remote mounts at the dash for level control on the move. DC Signal Sense starts the amplifier when it sees signal on the RCA inputs, so a remote turn-on wire is optional. Nickel-plated RCA jacks resist corrosion, angled molded terminals take 4 AWG power and ground and 12 AWG speaker wire, and end-panel LEDs report overload and speaker short conditions. External 100A fusing required.
