ZD-2550.1D

The Hifonics ZD-2550.1D is a ZEUS DELTA mono block amplifier rated at 2550W max power. It delivers 1 x 2550W into 1 ohm, 1 x 1275W into 2 ohms, and 1 x 650W into 4 ohms, enough for a pair of high-excursion 12s in a ported box or a single competition-oriented woofer wired to 1 ohm.

A PWM MOSFET power supply with the dual coil Simpatico design keeps voltage constant across the output devices, so output holds through sustained low frequency passages rather than dropping when the box loads up. Class-D topology with an aluminum heat sink keeps the chassis at 13.62 x 5.75 x 2.16 in and 6.04 lb, so a high-output amplifier still mounts on the front of an enclosure or against a trunk wall.

Tuning is handled on the amplifier: a variable low-pass crossover from 50Hz to 250Hz at 12dB per octave, a 15Hz to 40Hz subsonic filter, and 0 to 12dB bass boost. Input sensitivity spans 0.2V to 6V, speaker-level inputs allow a factory head unit tie-in, and THD stays under 0.1%.

The included wired bass remote gives dash-side level control. DC Signal Sense starts the amplifier from RCA input signal, making the remote turn-on wire optional. Nickel-plated RCA jacks resist corrosion, angled molded terminals accept 4 AWG power and ground and 12 AWG speaker wire, and end-panel LEDs flag overload and speaker shorts. External 125A fusing and adequate charging system support are required at this power level.
