ZS65C

The Hifonics ZS65C is a 6.5 inch 2-way component system: two mid-woofers, two 1 inch neo-Mylar soft dome tweeters, two in-line 12dB crossovers, tweeter mounting hardware, and grills for the mid-woofers. Separating the tweeter from the woofer is what lifts the sound stage to eye level instead of leaving vocals down by your knees, which is the main reason to run components over coaxials.

Each speaker handles 60W RMS and 400W peak, for 120W RMS and 800W peak per pair, at 4 ohms. Response runs 55Hz to 20kHz with 88 dB sensitivity, and the crossover point sits at 2kHz, low enough that the tweeter carries most of the vocal range with the clarity a dome does best.

The mid-woofer uses an alpha-cellulose cone on a moisture resistant rubber surround, a pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former, and an epoxy infused natural fiber spider, with overcoil cooling moving air across the coil under power. An anti-resonant stamped steel basket and ferrite motor keep resonance down and the magnet compact.

The in-line crossovers use premium capacitors for exact crossover points and mount easily behind a door panel. Several tweeter mounting options are included for surface, flush, or angled placement in sail panels, A-pillars, or factory tweeter locations. Mounting cutout for the mid-woofer is 5.59 in with a 7.01 in outside diameter and 2.12 in of depth. Spade connectors or direct solder handle wiring.
