JBL CONTROL 85M 5.25" Commercial 70v Outdoor Inground/Onground Landscape Speaker

The JBL Control 85M is a two-way coaxial mushroom landscape speaker for outdoor music and paging. A 135 mm (5.25 in) polypropylene woofer and 19 mm PEI dome tweeter deliver 360-degree horizontal coverage across a 55 Hz to 18 kHz range, so a small number of units can cover a walkway, patio or garden area without obvious hot spots. It handles 80 W of pink noise (160 W program) at 8 ohms and includes a 30 W multi-tap transformer for 70V and 100V distributed lines, which is the practical choice for long cable runs across a property. The speaker mounts on the ground or partially buried in it, and the tough LDPE polyethylene enclosure resists lawn equipment and weather. Color runs all the way through the material, so scrapes and scratches do not show white. An IP-56 rating covers dust and water jets, the housing exceeds Mil Spec 810 for humidity, salt spray, temperature and UV, and the grille is powder-coated stainless steel. A fully isolated center chamber keeps wiring dry, with two stages of gland nuts protecting cable entry. Finished in Hunter Green RAL6018 at 17 x 11.5 x 11.5 in, it sits low in planting beds and along paths. Common installs include hotels, resorts, restaurant patios, shopping centers, theme parks, sports venues, entrances and residential landscapes.
