JBL Control 89MS 8" 80w Commercial 70v Landscape Subwoofer Above-Ground Sub

The JBL Control 89MS is an above-ground landscape subwoofer that adds low end to outdoor speaker systems. A down-firing 200 mm (8 in) long-throw driver with a 50 mm voice coil produces clean bass to 40 Hz and 115 dB peak output, filling in the range that small landscape speakers cannot reach. It pairs with the JBL Control 80 Series and other outdoor systems, and a built-in low-pass crossover with a dual-slope filter blends the handoff whether the sub runs from a full-range amplifier channel or a dedicated subwoofer feed. Power handling is 150 W pink noise (300 W program) at 8 ohms, and a subwoofer-band multi-tap transformer with an 8-ohm bypass covers 70V and 100V distributed lines at 80 W, 40 W, 20 W and 10 W taps. The enclosure is IP56 rated, built from tough polyethylene with a fully sealed center wiring chamber, and color extends through the cabinet so scratches stay hidden. External hardware is stainless steel and the powder-coated stainless grille resists rust. Finished in Hunter Green RAL 6018 at 20.7 x 14 x 14 in, the cabinet sits low in planting beds and along walkways.
