The JBL CSA 140Z is a single-channel commercial amplifier rated at 40 W for small background music and paging systems. Built-in 70V and 100V operation means you can wire a run of ceiling or pendant speakers across a cafe, boutique or office suite without adding a separate transformer. Crown DriveCore technology replaces up to 500 discrete parts with one chip, which lowers part count and improves reliability in a unit that runs all day. The chassis is fanless and just 1U tall at 1.7 x 8.6 x 11.9 in, so it installs silently in a rack behind a bar or inside a closet without adding noise to a quiet room. A universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and the unit is Energy Star certified under HARMAN GreenEdge, so operating cost stays low across long hours. Phantom power at 27 VDC supports a condenser paging microphone. Sleep mode disable keeps the amplifier awake where automatic power-down would delay announcements. An RJ45 connector supports the JBL CSR-V in-wall volume control over standard Ethernet cable, giving staff a wall knob instead of rack access. Illuminated rings around the knobs make settings visible in dim spaces. A rack mounting kit is included.
