The JBL CSA 280Z is a two-channel commercial amplifier rated at 80 W per channel, with 70V and 100V operation built into both outputs. Two independent channels let you run two zones from a single 1U chassis, such as a dining room and a bar, or a sales floor and a stockroom, each at its own level. Distributed audio support means long speaker lines run on light-gauge cable with no external transformer, which is how most multi-room commercial systems are wired. Crown DriveCore technology replaces up to 500 discrete parts with one chip, lowering part count and improving reliability in equipment that stays powered through business hours. The fanless 1U chassis measures 1.75 x 8.5 x 12 in and runs silently, so the rack can sit in an occupied room. A universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and the amplifier is Energy Star certified under HARMAN GreenEdge. Phantom power at 27 VDC supports a condenser paging microphone, and sleep mode disable keeps the unit awake where announcements must go through immediately. RJ45 connectors work with JBL CSR-V in-wall volume controls over Cat 5 cable. Illuminated knob rings stay readable in dark equipment closets. A rack mounting kit is included.
