CSMA240

The JBL CSMA 240 is an eight-input, two-output mixer-amplifier rated at 40 W per channel, sized for smaller two-zone commercial systems. Eight input channels take microphones, guitars and playback sources through euro-block and unbalanced RCA connections, while two outputs let you run separate areas at separate levels. A Hi-Z switch brings the built-in output transformer into circuit for direct 70V or 100V speaker lines, and the amplifier also powers 8 ohm and 4 ohm loads for local wiring. Voice-activated ducking on channels 1 and 5 lowers background music the moment someone speaks into a paging microphone, with a rear trim pot to set the trigger threshold. Those same channels can act as priority inputs, muting everything else through a simple switch closure. Sleep mode powers the unit down after roughly 30 minutes without signal and wakes on signal return or a priority trigger. Two auxiliary outputs send the input mix to additional amplifiers. Phantom power at 27 VDC covers condenser microphones, and an RJ45 port supports a JBL CSR-V wall volume control. Illuminated rings around every knob keep the front panel readable in the dark.
