The JBL CSR-V is a wall-mount remote volume control for JBL CSM mixers, CSMA mixer-amplifiers and VMA units. It uses analog DC voltage for logic control, so the audio signal never leaves the rack and the wall plate carries no speaker-level wiring. That keeps installation simple and the sound clean. Wiring runs on standard Cat 5 cable with universally accepted RJ-45 connectors, up to 1000 ft (305 m) from the rack, which is more than enough to reach a host stand, back office or manager station in almost any building. Dual RJ45 connectors allow loop-through wiring so several control points can share a run. Once connected, staff can raise or lower the volume of the source selected at the mixer without opening the equipment rack or touching system settings, which prevents the accidental changes that happen when a rack sits in an accessible space. The black finish suits dark walls, back-of-house areas and rooms with dark switch plates. Use it in restaurants, bars, retail stores, gyms, offices, schools and houses of worship where a manager or staff member needs a simple, obvious volume knob in the room rather than in the rack.
