Product Description

The JBL CSS8008 is an 8-inch Commercial Series ceiling speaker for paging and background music in restaurants, stores, and other commercial spaces. A 200 mm dual-cone driver with 96 dB sensitivity helps deliver [Used]seful sound levels even at lower tap settings. Frequency range spans 55 Hz to 16 kHz with 120-degree coverage. Built-in transformer taps support 100V, 70V, and 25V distributed lines, with bare-wire transformer connections and 15 W continuous driver power handling. The shallow 2.8 in depth behind the grille and compatibility with the CSS-BB8 backcan support open-back or backcan installs.

Features

    • High Sensitivity Output

96 dB sensitivity helps produce strong paging and music levels even when lower transformer taps are selected.

    • Commercial Coverage

120-degree coverage suits restaurants, stores, and similar rooms that need even paging and background music.

    • Multiple Voltage Taps

Built-in taps for 100V, 70V, and 25V systems support common distributed-audio designs with bare-wire connections.

    • Shallow Ceiling Fit

A 2.8 in depth behind the grille helps the speaker fit installations where plenum depth is limited.

    • Backcan Compatible

Matching CSS-BB8 backcan support and defined cutout sizes give installers open-back or enclosed mounting options.
