Pre-construction brackets go in before the ceiling does. You fasten the bracket between joists or to the framing during rough-in, run your speaker wire to it, and the ceiling contractor finishes around it. When the room is done, the Control 26C or 26CT drops straight into a hole that is already cut, positioned and supported.
