JRX218S 18" Compact Passive Subwoofer

The JBL JRX218S is a compact 18-inch passive subwoofer built to add low-end weight to any JRX-series or similar PA rig. Its M118-4 low-frequency driver handles 350W continuous power and up to 1,400W peak, reaching down to 34 Hz for a frequency range that fills out kick drums, bass lines, and DJ sets without a separate amplifier of its own. A carpeted, 0.75-inch MDF enclosure and non-resonant steel handles are built for regular load-in and load-out, and an 18-gauge perforated steel grille protects the driver during transport and setup.

A top-mounted, cast-aluminum 36mm pole receptacle lets the JRX218S serve as the base of a speaker stack, supporting a mid-high cabinet like the JRX215 or JRX225 directly on top without a separate stand. Parallel Neutrik Speakon connectors make it easy to daisy-chain multiple subwoofers or run a full-range top cabinet off the same amplifier channel. At 98 dB sensitivity and 133 dB max SPL, the JRX218S covers mobile DJ setups, small venues, and touring bands that need serious low end in a still-manageable cabinet size.
