Product Description

The SRX918S is a single 18-inch active subwoofer built to complement SRX900 Series full-range systems in rental, touring, and fixed installation work. At its core is a JBL 2279-1 18-inch woofer built with a dual voice coil, dual gap design, which delivers better heat dissipation, lower power compression, and a wider dynamic range than a conventional single-coil design. Built-in DSP and Class D amplification give the cabinet a plug and play setup with consistent performance anywhere in the world.

A large low-frequency port improves airflow and cuts audible turbulence even when the system is pushed to high output, and the enclosure is built from 18mm plywood with a black DuraFlex finish and two integral recessed handles for two-person carrying. Coverage switches between omnidirectional and cardioid patterns to control low-end spill on stage, and a full-featured software package, JBL Performance, puts system control in reach across Windows, macOS, and iPadOS.
