Product Description

The VRX928LA is a compact 8-inch two-way line array speaker weighing 28 lb, built for use in arrays of up to six units. Its Constant Curvature waveguide mounts two compression drivers on a continuous arc, so when several units stack together they behave acoustically like one long driver instead of six separate boxes. Amplitude shading switches on each enclosure let an operator trim the high-frequency output of individual units in the array, aiming more energy toward the back of a room while pulling it back near the front.

A Differential Drive woofer keeps the enclosure light while still handling up to 1600W of peak power, and a dual angle pole socket adds the option to mount one or two units on a standard pole or tripod stand when a full flown array isn't needed. Neutrik Speakon connectors handle input, and the enclosure switches between bi-amp and passive crossover modes depending on how the rest of the system is configured.

At 9 by 16.5 by 10.5 inches and 28 lb per unit, the VRX928LA suits mobile DJ and live sound rigs that need line array coverage without the weight and rigging complexity of larger systems, and its passive operation means it runs off standard power amplifiers rather than requiring dedicated processing.

Features

    • Constant Curvature Array Design

Two compression drivers sit on a continuous arc so stacked enclosures work together like a single long driver.

    • Per-Unit Amplitude Shading

Switches on each enclosure trim high-frequency output, pushing sound to the back of a room while easing off up front.

    • Flexible Pole Mounting

A dual angle pole socket lets one or two units mount on a standard 35 mm pole or tripod when a flown array isn't needed.

    • Lightweight Differential Drive Woofer

The neodymium woofer keeps the enclosure at 28 lb while still handling up to 1600W peak power.

    • Switchable Crossover Modes

Bi-amp or passive operation lets the speaker match whatever amplification and processing the rest of the rig already uses.
