Kicker Powersports 10PS52504 5.25” Harley Davidson Motorcycle Speakers PS5250

The PS52504 is a pair of 5.25-inch coaxial speakers made as fairing drop-ins for motorcycles, built from weather-resistant materials and adhesives so they hold up to full-time outdoor mounting. This is the 4-ohm version, matched to 2006-and-later Harley-Davidson OEM head units and to conventional amplifiers stable at 2 ohms per channel.

Each speaker takes 100W peak and 50W RMS, with 88.3 dB sensitivity that produces real volume from a factory head unit. A rare-earth neodymium midbass motor, about ten times stronger per pound than a standard ceramic magnet, keeps output high while each speaker weighs only 12.6 oz, so the fairing gains sound without gaining weight up high.

Copper-clad aluminum voice coils reduce moving mass for higher efficiency, and a finned aluminum heat sink moves heat away from the motor to hold power handling over a long ride. Polypropylene cones on inverted surrounds pull more excursion from a shallow frame. The 20mm neo-titanium-dome tweeters mount on an acoustically invisible bridge over each cone center, which resists the vibration of a motorcycle or ATV and keeps vocals intelligible under a helmet.

Frequency response covers 60 Hz to 20 kHz. The pair needs a 4-7/8 in mounting hole and 2-3/16 in of depth, dimensions that also suit UTV, ATV, marine, and outdoor enclosures. Replacement grilles for Harley-Davidson Bat-Wing fairings are included; other fairings keep the factory grille. A 2-ohm version, the PS5250, covers 1998-2005 Harley-Davidson and Victory head units.
