Each speaker pairs a polypropylene woofer cone with a heavy-duty motor and magnet structure built on Extended Voice Coil technology, keeping the cone centered through hard bass excursion rather than letting it wander off axis. A zero-protrusion PEI tweeter with a neodymium magnet sits flush enough to clear most factory grille depths, and a ribbed, UV-treated polyester foam surround shrugs off the heat and sun a door-mounted speaker sees over time.
