The 43CVT102 is a 10-inch CompVT subwoofer with a single 2-ohm voice coil, built for vehicles where a conventional sub will not physically fit. Top-mount depth is 4-1/4 in, which is what puts real bass behind a truck seat, under a rear bench, or in a slim box against a hatch wall.

Depth is only half the answer; the enclosure matters too. Sealed volumes run 0.8 to 3 cu ft and ported 1.25 to 1.75 cu ft. The included steel clearance plate replaces part of the enclosure rear wall, letting the sub sit in a recess so a thin box gets thinner still. A ventless solid-pole design allows that direct mount to the rear wall.

Power handling is 800W peak and 400W RMS, and a four-layer voice coil is the reason a driver this shallow takes serious power without breaking down. A dark gray modified-spoke cone with bracing keeps bass response clear, sitting on a ribbed Santoprene surround that is double stitched at the cone joint. Full perimeter venting through a slender steel basket plus the UniPlate system move heat out of the motor.

Spring-loaded binding posts are chosen for minimum depth, and Spiralead tinsel leads keep the wiring quiet at excursion. Frequency response is 25 to 500 Hz at 87.2 dB.
