The Kicker 43DSC3504 is a pair of 3.5-inch two-way coaxial speakers made as a direct replacement for factory dash, pillar, and rear-shelf locations. Each speaker uses a rigid polypropylene cone on a ribbed, UV-treated foam surround, supported by a stamped steel basket and EVC (Extended Voice Coil) technology that keeps the motor working in its linear range at low power. The 1/2-inch polyethylene-naphthalate dome tweeter has zero protrusion, so factory grilles and trim panels go back on without spacers or rubbing. Power handling is 80W peak and 20W RMS with a recommended range of 4 to 20W RMS per channel, which means a stock head unit runs them properly and a small four-channel amplifier gets everything out of them. Response covers 80 Hz to 20 kHz at 88 dB sensitivity, restoring the vocal detail and top end that aging paper factory speakers lose. A 3-inch mounting diameter and 1-11/16-inch top-mount depth clear shallow dash pods, sail panels, and door pockets in compacts, older trucks, and small SUVs where larger speakers will not fit.
